Whether you are trying to look fashionable at a dinner party or if you need to look stylish but not too bold while going to work each day; jewelry is an accessory that says a lot about you. And just like it says a lot about you, jewelry also has its own set of rules for those who are trying to look their best. For example, you would not want to wear your best Mikimoto pearls when you going out for a morning jog. And you would not want to wear your costume jewelry to a black tie formal event. And if you want to be someone who is stylish and fashionable; you should follow a few suggestions when wearing jewelry.
Let’s look first at a situation most of us find ourselves in. We want to look good at the office but we do not want to look too flashy. Some things to take into consideration are that you should stick with your less flashy jewelry. And on top of that, stick to one piece of jewelry per accessory. What I mean by that is wear one pair of earrings, one necklace and one bracelet. If you wear multiple of any of these things, then you just will not look as professional.
Some other tips to ensure that you are looking stylish and not like rubbish include that you can mix metals like gold and silver but do not have one flashy, thick style necklace and then a few small, thin ones. Also, don’t wear a pearl necklace and then add a gold choker. Another rule for necklaces is that if you are going with a plunging neckline on our dress or top, then wear a short necklace that is tighter to the neck. And of course, do the opposite with a non-plunging neckline. These are just a few things to ensure your jewelry helps you make the right impression.
