Sometimes, you may just get bored with your appearance.  You feel like you need to change something, but aren’t quite sure what exactly you want to do.  At this point, many people either get a drastic hair cut, or a hair color.  These two things tend to not be permanent, but can help stave off the feeling of boredom and frustration.

When you go to get your hair colored, there are some things that you will want to think about.  First, you need to think about whether you want a natural color, or if you want something a little more out there.  There are so many options when getting your hair colored that, at first, it can be a little daunting to even think about.  Once you make the decision whether to go all out, or stay natural, this does narrow down your options.

Along with this, you will want to look at any restrictions or requirements you may have.  Sure, it’s your hair, and realistically you can do whatever you want with it – but you will want to check the dress code for the company you work for.  There are many companies that state that your hair needs to be a naturally occurring color.  This could break down your choices quite a bit as well.  Of course, you still could go with an outrageous color, but you would be risking your job.

You will also want to think about whether you plan to do the coloring yourself, or go to a salon.  The more crazy you get with your color choice, the more difficult it is to do it yourself.  In fact, many times when people try to do it themselves, they later end up in a salon to get it fixed.

No matter what you choose, realize that you are making a statement with your hair color.  Think about what the color may say about you before you make a final decision.
